Create 3D scans using the 3D camera (FaceID or LiDAR) of your iPhone or iPad! With Heges, you can easily create detailed 3D models of everyday objects using the TrueDepth camera and/or the LiDAR sensor. This app offers a range of export options including STL, PLY, OBJ, and GLB (glTF) file formats, making it convenient to share your scans with others. On older devices, you can still utilize the ordinary camera mode or the Screen Sharing feature.

Heges is divided into two modes:

3D Scanner (Requires In-App Purchase)

• Compatible with devices such as iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 12, 12 Pro, 13, 13 Pro, 14, 14 Pro and iPad Pro that have the TrueDepth camera and/or LiDAR sensor.
• Create highly accurate 3D models by utilizing the selfie TrueDepth camera (FaceID) and/or the rear LiDAR sensor.
• Export your models in various file formats including PLY, OBJ (both with colors), STL, and GLB (both without colors).
• Effortlessly share your exported models through the built-in Wi-Fi server or view them in the iOS Files app.
• Toggle scanning sessions using your device's physical volume buttons.
• Facilitate collaboration by sharing your screen with another iPhone/iPad through a double-tap gesture in the live camera view.
• Experience your models in augmented reality for an immersive viewing experience.
• Scan in pitch-dark environments or use Heges as a night vision camera.
• Choose from various scanning precisions to balance precision and scanning range.
• For the most accurate scans, use the selfie FaceID camera with 0.5MM Precision settings, avoiding LiDAR for high accuracy needs.
• The selfie FaceID camera offers superior accuracy compared to LiDAR, and the models showcased in the promotional videos were scanned using this camera on an iPhone X.
• The selfie FaceID camera is ideal for capturing fine details with up to 2 millimeters accuracy using FaceID and 0.5MM Precision settings.
• Use LiDAR for scanning larger areas such as houses or rooms, as LiDAR is not suitable for detailed scans of small objects.
• The objects within the scanner range are highlighted in the live view for easy tracking.
• In low-light conditions or dark environments, switch to the passive Night Vision mode which offers broader scanner capabilities.

Instructions for using the 3D scanner:

• Move slowly and steadily when scanning to ensure accurate results.
• Keep most of the scene you want to capture within the scanner range.

Please note that the scanner may encounter challenges in capturing fast movements or challenging environments such as glass surfaces, which cannot be captured due to the nature of the TrueDepth sensor.

Color Camera Mode

• This mode is available on all devices.
• Manually adjust camera focus settings for optimal results.
• Easily share photos through the built-in Wi-Fi server.

To protect users with unsupported devices, Heges offers a paid upfront model. Although the app can be downloaded for free, it requires an in-app purchase to unlock full functionality.
